Today is my birthday. 33 years old. Wow!
It’s been a crazy year. So much has changed for me, for my family, for the whole world.
I’ve decided, officially, today – that I am a Trader.
I am also a Book Maker.
I’m also a Coloring Artist. And an Illustrator. And a Photographer. A Professional Creative if you will.
Today, I decided to hold my cash. I’d made two big sales on Etsy. I’d analyzed all my trades. And, it turns out – of my favorites, the Juice just wasn’t worth the Squeeze.
The funny thing?
It was hard to say no. I wanted to buy in, so bad! But, I’m in this for the long haul. I’m tuning in tomorrow too, and the day after, and the day after.
The goal, the intention, the quest – is to SHOW UP. Consistently. Confidently. Knowing that I’m here to do my best.
When in doubt, how do I decide? How do I choose what to do?
Well, of course – I think of all of you. My Team. My Family. My Friends. What would I say, as head of the company, as the CFO of the Family Estate, if I made the choice I did. I know that you trust me, that you believe in me, that you have confidence in my convictions. I just have to be able to explain it, to know my why to lead with joy and excitement, grounded in practical reality.
So, today, I choose CASH as my position. I made $120 in Coloring Sales, and I call that a win.
You know what’s even better? It felt 110% natural to go about my flow – to enjoy tea and team chats in the morning, as we listen to The David Knight Show. To stroll through my park with my pup, who is both adventure buddy and body guard. To touch bases with my Trees and sit still, quiet, and alone for just a moment to breath.
Then, to shower, to eat – an AMAZING feast! – then tune in to friends and family and my community. To play piano, to pull a thought prompt card, to say hello to my little indoor garden of delights – pineapples, ginger, lemon tree and all the rest. Wow, what a wonderful life.
And, the best part? To be able to enjoy it all, everyday, with you my muse, my best friend, my partner in life, love, work, and play. Thank you for making today yet another magical day. From coloring to microgreens, from Peru to Amsterdam, we’ve been on quite the adventure. And I am so genuinely, eternally grateful for all the lessons learned. And as I shut down my tech to head up for some specialty hot cocoa, I feel excited anticipation for all that’s yet to come.
